so d writes (since she sleeps before i come home and she leaves before i wake up)
" also, there is some chicken stir fry and rice (with tofu and mushrooms!) in the
container, if you want a midnight snack, but you'll probably just eat
peanut butter, or cereal. study hard!"
she knows me well enought to be my roommate.

sorry for the absence of posts lately. no excuses.
if you want an update on my academic life, i'm learning about poop and watery poop and poop with blood. along with things like how drinking is very bad for you and so is smoking. combine them together, it's even worse. but we all know that by now, right?
if you want an update on my social life, hm, more on that after this weekend ;) for an overseas friend who might get an inside joke: i was stylish in a subtle way.
oh yeah, someone convinced me i should make it a career looking at xrays and pictures. any thoughts? half way convinced.
nighty night!

another excerpt from email:
"i know this is kinda random, but i'm thinking of watching scrubs tonight per your recommendation and forget studying. for some reason, this peptic ulcer deal is just not hitting a chord with me. had my last day at preceptor though! so nice to shake hands with the old man and say ' c-ya! '"

last night, my apt was on the verge of fire as a boy strummed his guitar to the tune of steven curtis chapman's "i'll be there" in a pool of candle lights, and asked for a girl's hand for marriage.
i was one of the few friends waiting outside the room to surprise that girl ;)
pics to come, i promise.
btw, i survived the 10K with no walking! lots of fun post-race as well.
but for now, i must jet out of this room and bake some cookies as today is my last day with my preceptor at his clinic. you know, cookies... for me... to celebrate ;)

i've been MIA from blog because .... just laziness. i have an exam on friday. ob/gyn. man... we, woman, are so complicated. just reading a chapter on giving birth made me nauseated. i don't think all women are called to give birth, right?
it's true. reading a detailed description on how babies come out, and this without any complications... just spontaneous natural birth. makes my face change like i'm chewing on black licorice. just not too pleasing to my senses.
anyhow, this week ahead: hm.... well, not much other than an exam on friday. so nothing much planned from now until then, except for a birthday picnic tomorrow. but the day afterwards, i'm running a 10k! boys and girls, i am SCARED... i haven't been "training" per recommendation. my team, appropriately named "just finish," is thinking of dressing up in costumes in order to get some attention from local cameramen. should be a fun day.
well, until then, ta-ta!
